
Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Come and join our team as an electrical maintenance specialist at a state-of-the-art manufacturing site.
We are looking for an experienced electrical maintenance engineer to join our in-house team, who will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and technical knowledge of electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical motors and pneumatics. You will also be confident in your ability to work safely and effectively, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
This is a hands-on role that requires you to use your technical expertise and analytical skills every day. As part of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and repairing electrical equipment and machinery
- Identifying and troubleshooting faults in electrical systems
- Programming PLCs to control and monitor production processes
- Using various testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
- Promoting lean thinking and contributing to safe systems of work documentation
- Attending breakdowns and ensuring minimal downtime
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental targets
You will receive full training and personal protective equipment to ensure your safety and success in this role. Our working hours are flexible, with a range of shifts available to suit your needs.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in electrical maintenance and repair
- Confident in their ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to lift and move heavy equipment safely
- Committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
You'll also have:
- Experience working with PLCs and diagnostic tools
- Diagnostics experience of electrical motors and pneumatics
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good understanding of EHS processes
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Bonus qualifications include:
- 17th/18th edition qualified or equivalent
- HNC or HND qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience in heavy industry manufacturing
