The House of Voice is seeking a skilled pianist to join their team as an educator for Term 1 and continuing.

We are looking for instructors who are dedicated and can develop students to become the best musicians possible across all ages, levels, styles, and backgrounds.

We have a warm and friendly team that collaborates in a modern environment.

This role will be focused on teaching piano skills and does not require administrative tasks. We take care of scheduling and student/parent needs outside of lessons.

To be considered, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Music degree or final year considered
  • Teachers with experience in online piano classes (advantageous)
  • Experience teaching individual and group classes
  • A current Working with Children Certificate

  • Ability to motivate and encourage students in all areas of piano and performance
  • Keeps up-to-date with the latest repertoire in all styles and has an ability to select the appropriate pieces
  • Ability to relate and teach to a wide range of ages and skill levels
  • You must be able to teach music theory, aural skills, and basic notation
  • Ability to teach performance skills for auditions, competitions, and other performances throughout the year
  • Knowledge of various piano styles including classical, jazz, pop, rock, indie, soul, R&B, and musical theatre

This position requires flexibility and adaptability. You may be required to assist with ensembles and performances, and some classes may be held online.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as strong attention to detail.

This is a subcontract position with flexible hours ranging from 36-50 per week. The pay rate is $40-$55 per hour.

The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality instruction and supporting the growth and development of students.
