About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist to lead our Child Safety and Family Violence initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience in implementing and maintaining frameworks that promote child safety and prevent family violence.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices
  • Providing expert guidance to stakeholders on legislative updates, risks, and best practices
  • Supporting investigations into reportable conduct and family violence incidents
  • Designing and delivering training on child safety and family violence responsibilities
  • Embedding the perspectives of children and young people in policy and decision-making processes

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child safety standards and principles, as well as experience in collaborating with stakeholders to drive change.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in social work, counseling, or a related field
  • Experience in implementing and evaluating programs that promote child safety and prevent family violence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to promoting a culture of safety and accountability
