Job Title: Manager, Research And Evaluation

About The Role:

  • This leadership position plays a key role in building the research and evaluation evidence base to inform responses to gambling harm.
  • Applying a public health framework to the issue of gambling harm, the role supports the Director, Knowledge, Research and Evaluation and Executive Director to develop, apply and distil the evidence base to contribute to a range of strategic matters and projects across the business unit and portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of research and evaluation specialists to build the evidence base to inform responses to gambling harm.
  • Overseeing the strategic development of gambling harm research and evaluation funding streams to ensure continued relevance and value of the evidence base.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in the gambling portfolio and across government to ensure the meaningful translation of gambling harm research and evaluation knowledge into practice.

About You:

  • You will be able to demonstrate a collaborative leadership style that builds team capability, supports development, and enables high-quality outcomes.
  • A record of achievement in strategic development and management of a research, evaluation and/or outcomes measurement function in an academic or government context.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging with academics, evaluators and other relevant professionals.
