IT Trainer Job Description

This is a part-time IT trainer position, requiring 3 or 4 days of work per week. The role will be based in Sydney.

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced IT trainer to join our team on a permanent basis. As an IT trainer, you will be responsible for promoting and conducting orientation training and other regular advanced and refresher training programs to extend the skill levels of users.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and conducts orientation training and other regular advanced and refresher training programs with a view to extending the skill levels of users;
  • Provides remote training for other offices when required;
  • Conducts regular floorwalks and provides ad-hoc training support;
  • Identifies gaps to recommend and conduct appropriate training and development;
  • Develops and maintains training materials and aides relevant to training courses and business needs;
  • Works with individuals to ascertain the best technology for their business needs;
  • Works proactively with the National IT Department in order to provide a high level of support and detailed assistance to all users.

About You:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as an IT trainer ideally in professional services or a large corporate environment;
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Education or tertiary qualifications in adult education (highly regarded);
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge;
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge, including V lookup & Pivot Tables;
  • A proactive and professional working style, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A genuine drive to learn new systems and work collaboratively with the team.
