About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Services Security Officer to join our team at Piper Preston Pty Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of emergency response and security services to our mine site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid and effective emergency response to all site emergency situations.
  • Conduct regular patrols to maintain a secure environment and identify any disruptions or unlawful acts.
  • Facilitate and deliver training for on-site emergency drills to all personnel and the Emergency Response Team.
  • Coordinate third-party testing, servicing, and calibration of medical equipment.
  • Maintain the Fire Truck, Rescue Trailer, and all rescue equipment to high standards of operational readiness.
  • Undertake periodic testing, servicing, and calibration of emergency response equipment, including maintaining records of servicing and checks undertaken.
  • Identify and report any hazards or non-compliance to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Actively promote safety and demonstrate a personal commitment to safety.
  • Participate in pre-start, safety toolbox meetings, and leadership field interactions, including ensuring the accurate and timely completion of Take-5's and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the mining and resources industry, with demonstrated experience in an emergency response position in a remote environment.
  • Intermediate understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
  • Sound comprehension of local, state, and federal emergency management regulations and requirements.
  • Certificate III Mines Emergency Response & Rescue, including Vertical Rope Rescue, Road Crash Rescue, and Confined Space Rescue qualifications and Hazard Material Management qualifications.
  • Advanced First Aid qualification, with a commitment to maintaining up-to-date certification.
  • Construction White Card and Certificate II Security and associated security licence.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Office 365 applications and experience using Pronto, Aconex, INX InControl, and Intuition.
