Software Engineering Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of engineers and drive the success of our company.

As a software engineering manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance software engineering teams. You will work closely with engineering teams to develop roadmaps, define delivery goals, and achieve them within agreed timelines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain multiple high-performance software engineering teams
  • Work with engineering teams to develop roadmaps, define delivery goals, and achieve them within agreed timelines
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to other software engineers
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing and practicing good engineering practices
  • Cultivate a healthy team culture centered on company values

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience leading development teams
  • Significant experience building large-scale web software
  • Experience working in an agile environment with continuous shipping
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to self-manage work
  • Self-motivated with a track record of learning new technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Strong technical skills with ability to engage with senior architects on technical plans and designs
  • Tertiary degree in computer science or engineering (or related); MSc or PhD a plus
