Role Summary

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned software engineering professional with experience leading high-performing teams to deliver cutting-edge web applications.

Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a high-performance software engineering team, developing solutions, defining delivery goals, and leading teams to achieve them within agreed timelines. The successful candidate will also nurture a strong ownership mindset, communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business, and provide leadership, training, and mentoring to other software engineers.

  • Developing solutions that meet business needs, collaborating with product managers and other teams to achieve the best outcomes given multiple constraints, and cultivating a healthy team culture centered on company values.
  • Leading technical design, influencing a global product, and accelerating career growth opportunities in a meritocratic culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role: 5+ years of experience building modern large-scale web applications, experience leading an engineering team, experience working in an agile environment, good written and verbal communication skills, track record of strong ownership and ability to self-manage work, and excellent technical skills.

  • Tertiary degree in Computer Science / Engineering (or related); MSc or PhD a plus.
  • Extensive experience managing multiple software engineering teams, hands-on experience across end-to-end technology stack, experience with cloud services (AWS preferred), experience with SOA, microservice, and containerization architecture.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, experience with Python, Go, PHP, .NET, and experience developing public-facing APIs.
