We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate culinary professional to join our team at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and be part of Australia's most beloved sporting venue.
Job DescriptionThis role will involve supporting culinary operations in various dining settings, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, assisting in budget management and stock control, and leading and inspiring a team of casual chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities- Supporting culinary operations in various dining settings, including Hugh Trumble Café, Paddock Café, Committee Restaurant, The Longroom & Members Dining Room, Jim Stynes Grill, Corporate Suites Dining, Retail Food Production, and Functions.
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with Delaware North's high-quality standards.
- Assisting in budget management and stock control to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
- Leading and inspiring a team of casual chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher.
- Proven experience in high-volume kitchens and event venues.
- Knowledge of commercial cooking with a flair for creative presentation.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- A true passion for food and excellence in service.

The salary range for this position is AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive benefits such as paid annual leave, sick leave, and access to our employee assistance program.
