Role Overview

A General Practitioner is required to provide medical care and support to Defence Members, ensuring their health and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
  • Form part of a multidisciplinary team working towards achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
  • Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports the health and wellbeing of members pre and post deployments.
  • Provide medical technical advice to senior commanders and other stakeholders.
About This Opportunity

This role requires an experienced medical professional as a General Practitioner. You will be working 4pm-8pm Tuesday & Thursday.

Requirements:
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
