This position involves supporting the development and review of professional standards, guidelines, and policies through research, analysis, drafting documents, and coordinating input from committees and stakeholders.
The role requires researching and drafting standards, guidelines, policies, and reports, as well as preparing submissions, briefing papers, agendas, and minutes.
You will also be responsible for supporting consultation processes by gathering and collating feedback, monitoring changes in surgical practice, health policy, and professional standards, and coordinating projects to meet agreed timelines and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing professional standards, guidelines, and policies.
- Researching and analyzing data to inform policy decisions.
- Coordinating with committees and stakeholders to gather feedback and input.
- Preparing submissions, briefing papers, agendas, and minutes.
- Supporting consultation processes and monitoring changes in relevant areas.
- Coordinating projects to meet agreed timelines and reporting needs.
- A qualification in public policy, law, political science, or a related field.
- Experience in policy, research, or advisory work, preferably in health, education, or membership organisations.
- Knowledge of standards development and governance processes.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Experience preparing clear and accurate documents.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
- Skills in organising committee work and engaging with stakeholders.
This is a full-time ongoing position that can be based out of one of our offices. You will enjoy a flexible hybrid working arrangement with 1-2 days per week in the office.
