Experienced Intellectual Property and Technology Lawyer Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled commercial lawyer with expertise in intellectual property and technology to join our dynamic team at Hall & Wilcox.
The successful candidate will work closely with our partners and lawyers to advise on a range of intellectual property and technology-related matters, including trade mark and copyright issues, IP commercialisation, procurement contracts, and competition and consumer law.
You will be involved in a variety of matters, including:
- Trade mark advice, filing, and registrations, as well as disputes and oppositions;
- Intellectual property commercialisation and licensing, including technology commercialisation agreements;
- Disputes and litigation, including enforcing and defending IP infringements;
- Privacy and competition and consumer law;
- IT and technology contracts, including procurement and project agreements;
- Drafting and negotiating transaction and commercial contracts and documents.
This is a hands-on role that provides the opportunity to work with interesting clients, including State and Federal government, and to be involved in complex and rewarding work.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Between 3 and 4 years of post-admission experience in general commercial law and IP and technology;
- Ideal experience gained from within a top-tier or mid-tier law firm or a recognised specialist IP/IT law firm;
- Experience working on State and Commonwealth Government matters or undertaking secondments in government departments;
- Technical excellence with outstanding attention to detail;
- Commercially savvy skills;
- A team player and critical thinker with a can-do approach.
