We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our logistics operations.

About the Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to join our logistics team in Melbourne.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating the forward order book to ensure maximum customer experience and productivity on execution.
  • As a Logistics Coordinator, you will liaise with plants around production requirements during shifts to meet supply needs to customers' job sites.
  • You will also coordinate trucks and loads to ensure timely supply to job sites.
  • In this role, you will work closely with customers to confirm details for supply to site for current and upcoming days.
  • You will be responsible for managing the fleet to meet OH&S and Fatigue Management regulations and expectations.
  • Additionally, you will work with Project Managers, Supervisors, and Crew Foremen to make effective transport plans to ensure shift requirements are met across the business.
  • You will also manage truck rostering for weekend and after-hours works.
  • Where required, you will engage external logistics providers to meet extra demand.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in fleet scheduling, tracking, and planning.
  • Financial and commercial acumen.
  • Employee/Customer (inter/intra) relationship and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to influence people - strong stakeholder communication.
