Food Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to lead our quality and food safety program for our main production site.
The successful candidate will have industry experience in food manufacturing, with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Lead a team of approximately 20 staff members in maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
- Work closely with the NPD team to effectively execute new products and maintain existing ones.
- Maintain knowledge of legislation around food safety, solid experience operating within a number of food quality systems (HACCP, SQF, Organic, etc.).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience managing a diverse technical team in the food industry.
- Prior experience in dealing with audits, implementation, and maintenance of food safety standards like SQF, HACCP, RSCPA, SEDEX, CFMSR, WSEP, etc.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to providing sustainable livestock management practices.
