Senior Financial Professionals Wanted for Key Roles

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in the Project Finance Governance Directorate and Financial Accounting and Assets Directorate.
The roles involve providing financial analysis and management services, including data analysis, financial governance, and asset accounting. The teams are responsible for the financial management of Defence's assets, which are valued in the hundreds of billions of dollars.
- As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Providing qualitative and quantitative data analysis with a focus on presentation for strategic management reporting.
- Managing financial governance requirements and ensuring compliance with the financial management framework.
- Analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing operational efficiency, particularly in refining ERP processes.
- As an Asset Accounting and Reporting Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the management of Fixed Assets Register and Inventory Holdings, including maintenance of asset classes and effective lives, additions and disposals.
- Analysing data to support the completion of Defence's external financial reporting functions, including journal preparation and reconciliations, balance sheet management, and financial statement analysis.

- Well-developed base technical accounting skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to produce quality work within short timeframes.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement.
- Expertise in using Microsoft suite and technical abilities in presenting large data using data visualization tools such as Power BI is desirable.
