About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our tram equipment installed on LRV sub-systems. This will involve carrying out routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation, and diagnostic testing, as well as actively maintaining and repairing tram equipment.

You will also be responsible for following established safety procedures and utilizing safety equipment as required. Additionally, you will need to report on activities, problems found, and measures taken, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality control measures are implemented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on tram equipment installed on LRV sub-systems.
  • Actively maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on LRVs.
  • Following all established safety procedures and utilizing safety equipment as required.
  • Reporting on activities, problems found, and measures taken.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and understanding as well as implementing quality control measures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
  • Fault finding ability with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in maintenance activities in a similar environment, with railway industry experience an advantage but not essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
