Job Title

At a leading organization, we are seeking an experienced professional to join our leadership team as Manager Sustaining Capital. This role is primarily focused on delivering brownfields and sustaining capital projects for Tier 1-3 resource companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of brownfields and sustaining capital projects for Tier 1-3 resource companies
  • Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external contractors to coordinate resources and ensure efficient project execution
  • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery processes and engineering practices
Business Development

This role will also drive business development activities by proactively identifying opportunities, managing client engagement, and executing strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company goals
  • Develop proposals, tenders, and RFQs in collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Negotiate pricing and ensure proposals meet client expectations and project profitability
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Engineering from a recognized institution and a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams on brownfields and sustaining capital projects. They will also have strong project management capabilities, including cost control, scheduling, and risk mitigation, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions, this individual should possess excellent analytical skills and be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams to achieve goals are essential. The ideal candidate will also be able to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to drive business results.
