Accounting Excellence Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional to manage core accounting functions, support compliance activities, and contribute to the smooth operation of finance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-End, Reporting & Compliance:
    • Manage and contribute to monthly close activities, including accruals, prepayments, payroll accounting, leases, and fixed asset maintenance.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports and variance analysis.
    • Lodge BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and WorkCover returns for multiple entities.
    • Support the preparation of FBT and income tax returns in collaboration with external advisors.
    • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and documentation integrity.
  • Finance Operations & Process Improvement:
    • Oversee AR/AP processes and treasury activities, including payment approvals and cash flow forecasting.
    • Work collaboratively across business units to ensure timely, accurate processing of accounting transactions.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Team Collaboration & Support:
    • Act as a trusted team member and mentor, supporting colleagues with recurring and ad hoc tasks.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver finance support that meets evolving business needs.
Requirements:
  • CA or CPA qualified, with at least 5 years' experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong month-end, compliance, and reconciliation experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and exposure to financial systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
  • Clear and confident communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
