Job Summary

About This Role

This is a leadership position that requires an experienced technology professional to drive the development and implementation of technology solutions.

  • Determine and implement a strategic technology plan aligned with business objectives and ELT priorities.
  • Stabilise legacy systems with robust monitoring, backup and patching disciplines.
  • Lead automation initiatives using Microsoft 365, Power Automate and scripting to digitise manual processes.
  • Establish effective governance for intake, prioritisation and status reporting.
  • Enhance security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards, including PCI DSS.
  • Own disaster recovery planning, testing and continuous improvement.
  • Optimise licensing and services, renegotiate vendor contracts and reduce overall costs.
  • Provide clear monthly reporting on risk, cost, performance and benefits realised.
  • Guide migration and hybrid initiatives where appropriate, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Cultivate and develop the service desk, operations, software and web teams through servant leadership.
Requirements

You are a seasoned technology leader who has grown from the tools up and still enjoys being hands-on when necessary. Your career spans infrastructure, networks, security, virtualisation and systems across legacy and hybrid environments.

You possess expertise in Microsoft 365, Power Automate and scripting, and leverage this knowledge to create automation that reduces manual effort, minimises risk and lowers costs.

You bring a track record of stabilising platforms while planning upgrades that propel the environment forward.

Your leadership style is calm, clear and positive.

You set direction, create guardrails and lead by example.

You foster capability across service desk, operations, software and web, elevate standards for change, documentation and incident response, and cultivate a culture where individuals take ownership and continuously improve.

You coach, acknowledge good work and make it easy for others to excel.

You are confident working with senior stakeholders and comfortable presenting at ELT level.

You establish productive relationships with vendors and peers, make informed decisions under pressure and remain focused on long-term outcomes.

You thrive in environments with much to address, enjoy visible progress, and take pride in results that strengthen disaster recovery, enhance compliance including PCI DSS, and deliver a better experience for staff and customers.
