Job Overview

The role of Group Accountant involves providing financial leadership and support to the organisation. This includes preparing accurate financial reports, liaising with external accountants, and monitoring cash flow.

This is a hands-on accounting position that requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have experience in a multi-entity business and be proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate monthly and year-end financial reports for all group entities.
  • Liaise with external accountants to support compliance, tax, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee financial controls and monitor group-wide cash flow, ensuring effective use of working capital.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and monthly performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with operational teams relating to financial insights, including job costing and department analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a hands-on accounting role within a multi-entity business.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger reconciliations, and budgeting.
  • Experience with cash flow management, job costing, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
