Inventory Management Professional Opportunity

 

  • As the Inventory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction of our company and set an example for standards of excellence.
  • You will oversee external and internal transportation, distribution, and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
  • Manage inventory/purchasing output, including supplier performance and selection, negotiation of contracts, and ongoing supplier relationship management.
  • Collaborate with all areas of the business to ensure production plans and schedules have required stock for deadlines and customer requirements to be met.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards and create and maintain policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Performance manage members of the team, conducting consultations, probation, and yearly performance reviews.
  • Recruitment, mentoring, and training of Purchasing/Inventory, Logistics, and Warehouse staff and ensuring training plans are implemented.

 

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills having previously worked in a broad inventory role spanning the entire supply chain.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, excellent Excel skills, and previous experience with inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes, systems, and Australian standards.
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, across all departments.
