Clinical Research State Lead

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for spearheading research operations and leading a team of site research staff in South Australia.

Maintaining strong working relationships with doctors, practice staff, research operations leads, site research staff, research ethics and governance specialists is crucial to overcome any logistical issues and ensure successful trial conduct.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, with flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay abreast of regulatory, administrative, and clinical frameworks as well as current clinical issues and practices relevant to research.
  • Ensure all research adheres to GenesisCare SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, study-specific protocols, and applicable national and international laws and regulations.
  • Promote a high-performing team culture that supports our strategy, strives for excellence, and upholds GenesisCare's values.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of all trials conducted in the state. Facilitate collaboration between relevant hospital departments and third parties to provide quality clinical services.
  • Collaborate with other business units and staff within the organization to support milestone achievement and manage study issues and obstacles.
  • Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders, including sponsor representatives.
  • Assist the Clinical Research Team Manager with the recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
  • Mentor and develop new staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Organize regular team meetings and ensure effective communication for management strategies.
  • Support the Clinical Research Team Manager and Quality Team in identifying and proactively managing quality risks and issues.
Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field, such as Science, Nursing, or Pharmacy.
  • A proven background in clinical research.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to initiate and drive change by motivating a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, proactive, and cooperative manner.
  • Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite.
