Job Description

The role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Software Asset Management Framework, ensuring its continuous monitoring and improvement. This includes incorporating software asset management awareness into internal communications and collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the Software Asset Management Framework, including policies, procedures, strategies, tools, work instructions, and standards.
  • Providing expert advice to senior management on current software asset management risks and issues.
  • Managing the completion and accuracy of Agency software asset management reports.
  • Providing expert advice on licensing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Managing corporate software accounts and forecasting expenditure against high-value contracts.
  • Analysing software auditing and metering reports to ensure optimum utilisation of software resources.
  • Liaising with ICT projects, configuration, change, and security functions to ensure software asset management is considered within project scope, change, configuration, and security processes, policies, and procedures.
