Operations Readiness Engineer

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Operations Readiness Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our brownfield ramp-up projects are ready for safe and reliable start-up.

This role involves supporting the development and handover of operational systems, ensuring maintenance and production teams are equipped to achieve plant stability and performance targets. The successful candidate will be strategically agile, results-driven, composed under pressure, and skilled in planning and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operational readiness delivery portfolio of brownfield projects.
  • Track readiness deliverables including spare parts lists, asset registers, O&M manuals, and vendor documentation.
  • Liaise between commissioning and operations teams to identify and address operational requirements.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support to ensure teams are prepared to operate and maintain systems.
  • Participate in system walkdowns and punch list resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement and embed risk-based approaches in all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical & Instrumentation).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mineral processing or heavy industrial plants, with at least 2 years in operational readiness.
  • Proficient in SAP (PM, MM) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian engineering and construction practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
