The role of a Senior Procurement Specialist is pivotal in driving strategic procurement initiatives across departments.

As a trusted advisor, you will manage complex sourcing activities and build stakeholder capability to develop procurement systems that are transparent, efficient, and aligned with organisational priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the end-to-end procurement process and sourcing strategy

  • Establishing relationships and trust with stakeholders through effective communication
  • Regularly interacting with senior stakeholders to enhance communication and engagement skills
  • Driving innovation and improvement in procurement processes

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in procurement, ensuring best value for money, managing complex contracts, and maintaining probity throughout the process
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, providing expert procurement and contract management advice to stakeholders
  • Excellent written communication skills, preparing complex procurement and technical documents
  • Strong research, analytical, and conceptual skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (Power BI experience is a plus)
  • Confidence in negotiations, influencing others using diplomacy, tact, and discretion
