Your Key Responsibilities




  • Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual journals entries, supporting the team in meeting regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board papers, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements for APRA and RBNZ, leveraging your expertise to drive compliance.
  • Contribute to the completion of industry surveys, such as Australian Bureau of Statistics and Stats NZ, ensuring our regulatory obligations are met.
  • Perform US GAAP to Local Statutory reconciliations for Australia and New Zealand, providing assurance on our financial reporting.
  • Support quarterly internally reporting requirements for the Singapore Regional Office, driving collaboration and efficiency.
  • Assist with indirect taxes filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support corporate taxes, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support annual external audit work, answering audit queries, investigation, and assisting with sample testing.
  • Assist with the annual S&P presentation, showcasing our financial performance.
  • Utilize Alteryx for the preparation of regulatory reports and indirect taxes, driving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying new opportunities for growth and efficiency.


Your Qualifications and Skills




  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Accounting, with a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements.
  • CPA/CA qualified or studying towards qualification, with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
  • Process and deadline-driven, with excellent time management skills.
  • General Insurance knowledge preferred but not essential, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Oracle/Peoplesoft system knowledge preferred, with proficiency in Excel.
  • High-level attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with high-level interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Experience with Alteryx preferred, or a willingness to learn.
