Cyber Security Expert Role

Safeguarding Energy Assets and Protecting Critical Data:

Cyber security specialists play a vital role in safeguarding energy assets and protecting critical data. This position involves working closely with the cyber security manager to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security strategies, protocols, and incident response plans.

Supporting Cyber Security Manager:

Collaborate with the cyber security manager to oversee physical and cybersecurity measures that protect infrastructure and data.

Implementing Advanced Security Features:

Implement and manage advanced security features within Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft 365; Entra ID; Intune; SharePoint; Purview; MS Windows) and Azure to ensure the protection of data and secure management of identities and access.

Designing and Implementing Robust Security Measures:

Design and implement robust security features within cloud & vendor technology solutions and in-house systems.

Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams:

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of critical energy infrastructure and operations.

Incident Response and Security Analysis:

Monitor security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities. Analyze security events and incidents to identify areas of improvement. Respond promptly to security incidents and take necessary actions to mitigate their impact. Identify and mitigate security misconfigurations, threats, and vulnerabilities in a timely manner. Contribute to the continuous improvement of security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience with the Microsoft suite of products, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows OS. Proven experience in security analyst activities, including monitoring and analysis of security events and incident response activities. Understanding of networking concepts, particularly TCP/IP and firewalls, especially Palo Alto. Strong understanding of secure architectures, DLP, and identity and access management principles. Experience with various security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with IT and OT teams. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant cyber security industry certifications are highly desirable. Other desired skills include experience working with OT environments, DevOps, infrastructure as code, Python, compliance frameworks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
