About Us

Royal North Shore Hospital is committed to delivering exceptional patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. Our team works collaboratively to ensure that all areas receive sterile and thermally disinfected medical equipment, adhering to current standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • To work in all areas of the Sterilising Services, maintaining high standards in processes involved with sterilisation and other procedures performed within the unit.
  • The reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices (RMDs) used in Health Service Organisations (HSOs), adhering to AS/NZS 4187-2014.

Requirements

  • Working towards or willing to undertake an accredited Sterilisation Certificate within 2 years.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral, including the ability to listen to and undertake direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and strict time frames in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate well and function harmoniously within a multicultural team environment.
  • Understanding of WHS & Risk Management, Continuous Quality Improvement principles.
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements as described in the position description.
