About the Role

Berry Street's Residential Care Program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 10 to 17 who require accommodation and support.

As a Youth Residential Care Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, implementing current best practice interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively within a team to deliver therapeutic care and support to young people.
  • Implement best practice interventions and program guidelines to ensure high-quality care and child safety.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.
  • Support young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.
Requirements
  • Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication skills, active listening, and commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask with ease.
  • Driver's license (minimum green P's) for transporting young people.
