Job Overview:

This is a challenging opportunity to work as an Energy Specialist, driving business outcomes in energy cost of doing business (CODB) and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction.

The role involves analyzing financial data to inform strategic decisions, working closely with internal stakeholders such as finance, engineering, and procurement teams. The successful candidate will also interact with external partners and contractors, requiring effective communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to reduce energy costs and GHG emissions
  • Analyzing financial valuations for projects and managing program costs
  • Communicating project scope and timelines to stakeholders and responding to inquiries about energy information
  • Collating data for energy certificates and administering PPA settlements

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create reports and analyze data. People management skills in a fast-paced environment are essential, along with experience in business analytics, energy analytics, or operations.

A tertiary or trade qualification in Business, Data Analytics, or Engineering is desirable, as well as a strong interest in environmental sustainability topics like climate change, energy, and emissions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, financial literacy, and problem-solving abilities are necessary for this role.
