Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of our Data Center projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and contractors, resolving project issues, managing RFIs, Change Orders, and other key delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities- Project management and oversight of construction-related activities for new builds or general capital projects.
- Driving costs down and schedules shorter while maintaining quality.
- Providing Construction Management for specific initiatives aimed at increasing the resiliency of our data centers.
- Reviewing constructability of electrical and mechanical systems and building designs associated with the construction of new data centers or the optimization of existing data centers.
- Creating project scope and equipment requirements, assisting with request for proposals, and capital requests.
- Total project quality, including assisting with commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight of the execution of the project.
- Issuing and managing the Request for Information process during construction and coordinating construction administration with engineers.
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Concurrently managing multiple projects, including new data center building and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centers.
- Operational support of installed facilities, including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
- Leading the group as well as internal and external teams that support the data center.
- Traveling to data center sites for electrical systems audits, mechanical system reviews, constructability reviews, startup testing, and full commissioning, as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of work experience in design and construction management experience.
- Experience in program management in mission-critical facilities.
- Experience in reading and interpreting construction-related drawings for all disciplines.
- Experience in carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/mass production.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in mission-critical projects (data centers, semi-conductor, hospitals, oil and gas).
- Knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations, including Fire Codes, Building Codes, Energy Efficiency Codes, Sanitary Codes, and Safety Codes.
- Previous vendor and contractor/subcontractor negotiation and management skills associated with construction and project execution.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
