Job Title: Construction Manager

Canadian Solar is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects, from planning to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Oversee construction site operations, including contractor and worker management, to ensure high-quality and safe work practices.
  • Lead site planning and review meetings to ensure alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Review and approve construction and installation work, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, manuals, and procedures.
  • Document and resolve issues encountered during construction through RFI and NCR processes.
  • Track project progress, ensuring daily rates and project milestones are met, and develop recovery plans as needed.
  • Evaluate change order requests from subcontractors and negotiate terms.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of construction and EPC industry experience.
  • Experience with utility-scale renewable energy construction projects.
  • Risk assessment and management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven experience in execution and delivery of construction projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) as required.
  • Valid driver's license and valid insurance.
  • Ability to travel as required and be on-site during construction periods.
  • Competency with MS365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
