About the Structural Draftsperson Role

FORTH Consulting is a multi-discipline engineering consultancy with a diverse project portfolio spanning building and infrastructure developments across various market sectors in Australia.

We are seeking a skilled structural draftsperson to carry out tasks requiring strong understanding of structural engineering concepts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proactive and have the following capabilities:

  • Ability to receive hand mark-ups and Bluebeam PDF mark-ups from structural engineers and produce REVIT models and drawings suitable for project requirements.
  • Provide REVIT modelling documentation for LOD 100 (Concept Design), LOD 200 (Schematic Design), LOD 300 (Detailed Design) and LOD 350 (Construction Documentation).
  • Coordinate services with other services and building structure under direction.
  • Manage time, priorities and workload effectively from engineers.

The selected candidate will actively communicate with other modelers and engineers to deliver project deliverables within agreed timeframes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma or certificate in structural engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the industry.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam software.
