As a Court Services Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring court users understand processes, enabling you to make a tangible difference in their experience and safety within the court system through the provision of support and empathy.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of registries;
- Provide frontline services to court users on a daily basis, including over the phone, in person, and/or in court.
- Keep stakeholders at the heart of service delivery and respond to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner, ensuring the prompt resolution of enquiries, requests, issues, and complaints.
- Perform in-court duties, such as unlocking and preparing courtrooms, administering oaths and affirmations, and handing out exhibits and documents.
- Recognise and action any risks presented relating to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users.
- Adhere to established administrative processes, policies, and procedures related to court and registry operations.
- Support the Registrar in the efficient management of daily operations and provide technical and administrative support to Magistrates in court.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Cultivate and nurture professional and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Use, update, and monitor relevant databases, digital tools, and files in line with guidelines.
- Provide information to members of the public and other internal and external stakeholders about services.
- Take ownership of developing skills, maintaining up-to-date knowledge, seeking feedback, and staying motivated when managing challenging tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to identify, communicate, review, and progress service improvements to registry processes and procedures.
