Job Description:

Be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering a warm and memorable welcome that sets the tone for their stay.

  • Manage guest bookings, upselling opportunities and inform guests about ways to enhance their experience.
  • Anticipate and respond to guests' needs by recording and acting on their preferences and handling their messages, requests, questions and concerns.
  • Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or over the phone.
  • Ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes, taking IDs, handing out room keys, performing food and beverage services during guest transfers and providing concierge services.
  • Represent our brand with pride, maintaining a high level of personal appearance.
  • Act as a trusted contact for all guests, assisting with issues from bill discrepancies to local knowledge, and escalating matters to management when necessary.
  • Process cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Effective communication skills are essential, as guests will approach you with concerns as well as compliments. You should be easy to talk to and possess strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong literacy and technical skills are required, including proficiency in basic maths and computer skills.
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification. A college or university degree is desirable but not essential.
  • Certification – QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or guest service position is highly desirable, ideally with at least one year's tenure.
  • Physical strength is required, as you may need to lift, push and pull heavy objects and items not exceeding 32kgs, involving bending and kneeling.
  • Ability to travel on boats without experiencing seasickness.
