We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our Rolling Stock team in West Melbourne. As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Optimization
    • Review maintenance activities to optimize examinations and reduce costs
  • Vehicle Configuration Management
    • Manage and maintain robust vehicle configuration change processes for modifications and trials
  • Data Collection and Analysis
    • Develop data collection processes and procedures
    • Assess and analyze vehicle condition, calculating equipment failure rates
  • Maintenance Documentation
    • Develop preventative / corrective maintenance manuals
  • Liaison and Communication
    • Liaise with the Operator on a regular basis regarding the status of the fleet
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree or electrical/mechanical trade-based qualification
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage your time effectively
  • A positive attitude and a team player, happy to assist where required
  • Experience in maintenance, fault finding, repair (desirable)
