Chief Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our data delivery team through a significant transition from on-premises SQL Server to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and technical expertise, as well as excellent communication skills.
About the Role:- This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of autonomy and decision-making authority.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting the data delivery team in their adoption of cloud-based technologies.
- Lead and mentor a small team of data engineers in the use of cloud-based data platforms.
- Develop and implement strategies for ensuring the stability, capability, and ongoing growth of our data solutions.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members.
- Provide technical guidance and support to ensure that data pipelines are reliable, reusable, and meet quality standards.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a focus on empowerment and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, backlogs, and delivery timelines.
- Solid technical knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Familiarity with or enthusiasm for cloud data platforms (GCP preferred), with a willingness to learn and guide others.
