Job Description:
  • Take ownership of the design process across multiple complex commercial projects.
  • Coordinate and manage design consultants, ensuring compliance with brief, codes, and buildability.
  • Act as the key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal project teams on all design matters.

As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design process from early concept to delivery. You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure design outcomes meet quality, budget, program, and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design process across multiple complex commercial projects.
  • Coordinate and manage design consultants, ensuring compliance with brief, codes, and buildability.
  • Act as the key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal project teams on all design matters.
  • Identify design risks, provide technical advice, and offer innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager on commercial building projects (health, education, institutional, mixed-use, or similar).
  • A solid understanding of construction methodology, D&C contracts, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on buildability, value, and quality.
