Coding Mentor for Young Learners

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds to develop their coding skills and creativity? We are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy individual to assist at our after-school classes in Sydney.

We are looking for someone who:

  • enjoys working with children (ages 5-12)
  • is tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • has some experience or interest in technology, preferably beginner coding knowledge
  • is confident in speaking in front of a small group of children and delivering lesson plans in a fun and engaging way
  • has a mature outlook, common sense, and ability to identify and manage risk while supervising children
  • speaks fluent conversational English
  • holds a Working With Children Check or is willing to obtain it immediately
  • owns or is willing to obtain a laptop with HDMI connectivity

The ideal candidate will:

  • deliver and facilitate lesson plans to a class solo or in a team
  • set up and pack away equipment provided by us
  • engage with students in a fun and safe way inside and outside the classroom
  • maintain contact with our team via Slack if any questions or concerns arise
  • complete online staff training prior to the first session

This is a casual position with expected hours of 2-8 per week, Monday to Friday. Pay rate is $40.00 per hour.
