Strategic Contract Management Professional

At APS, we are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.
The role is accountable for performing complex contract management work within an integrated workforce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
This position requires a high level of stakeholder engagement and autonomy in achieving outcomes. You will provide detailed contract management, technical, professional and policy advice relating to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project-management and policy development.
You will have the opportunity to lead a team and set work priorities and manage workflows. Your ability to build team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others will be essential.

- Engaging and negotiating with stakeholders, responding to complex enquiries and contract management issues.
- Delivering procurement related documentation, such as templates, correspondence, reports, plans, strategies, performance reviews and contract change proposals.
- Interpreting and recommending advice on complex contract management issues, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and managing contract administration, performance and risks against the contract.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
