Be a Part of Our Dynamic Café Team

Our dynamic café in Gold Coast University Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Sandwich Hand to join our team. In this role, you will be working with a great group of people in a fast-paced environment.

As a Sandwich Hand, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-service kitchen preparation
  • Preparation of all ingredients
  • Cooking menu items (basic café-style food)
  • Providing suggestions for menu improvement and changes
  • Safe food handling
  • Responsible for ensuring the kitchen is always a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
  • Assuming some responsibility for all kitchen duties, ordering, and compliance
  • Consistently preparing high volumes of food within the café

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Back-of-house experience in food retail or a café
  • Availability for early morning starts
  • Food preparation and presentation experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • An interest in food and beverage
