Aged Care Cook Position in Hobart

Cook Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cook to join our catering department at Derwent Views home in Hobart, Tasmania. This is a casual position.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and serve nourishing meals for residents, aligning with the Food Safety Program guidelines.
- Assist with day-to-day food preparation, presentation, and ordering of stock.
- Document and implement the Food Safety Program, working closely with the Chef Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, promoting safe work practices.
- FHSS Food Handling Certificate.
- A relevant certificate (e.g., Certificate III Hospitality – Commercial Cookery).
- Current National Police Certificate or ability to acquire one.
The estimated salary for this position is approximately $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer competitive salary packaging, not-for-profit benefits, long-term employment in a recession-proof sector, and a positive workplace culture.
