We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our catering department at our Derwent Views home in Hobart, Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. This is a casual position offered on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the day-to-day preparation, provision, and presentation of excellent standard food and drink.
- Support the provision of special dietary requirements of individual residents as specified by the dietician or clinical care team.
- Ensure accurate reporting of stock levels and ordering as required.
- Implement and monitor the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with the Chef Supervisor.
- Support all catering staff to maintain a clean and non-cluttered work environment.
- Certificate relevant to the role (e.g. Certificate III Hospitality - Commercial Cookery).
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Experience in residential aged care or hospitality desirable.
This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong time management skills and attention to detail.
What We Offer- Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum based on experience.
