Job Description:
The role of Quality and Laboratory Team Leader is a pivotal one in safeguarding the quality and compliance of high-performance fish feed products. As part of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in driving excellence in quality and science.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop Laboratory Staff: You will take ownership of leading and developing our laboratory team, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Conduct and Oversee Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct and oversee quality assurance testing of raw materials and finished products, including NIR, wet chemistry, physical testing, etc.
  • Monitor Production Processes: Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, digital QA initiatives, and lab automation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage Laboratory Resources: Manage laboratory resources, consumables, budgets, and compliance activities to maintain a seamless operation.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Science or Laboratory-Related Field: A degree in science or laboratory-related field (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this role.
  • 4–5 Years of Laboratory Experience: 4–5 years of laboratory or quality assurance experience is required to excel in this position.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a team is necessary for success.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (ISO, HACCP) and laboratory best practices is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills to interpret test results and solve complex problems are essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
