About This Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to design and optimize mechanical equipment in the production plant
  • Diagnostics and repair of mechanical faults, including gearboxes, belts, motors, and conveyors
  • Provide technical support and supervise maintenance to ensure production machinery operates efficiently
  • Develop and document SOPs for current and future equipment
  • Analyze data, prepare diagrams, and compute measurements regarding mechanical equipment
  • Assist with assembly, testing, and commissioning of production machinery according to specifications
  • Offer technical assistance to resolve breakdowns promptly
  • Contribute to material cost reduction for repairs and tool procurement
  • Train production staff on efficient machinery usage

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or repair
  • Able to interpret engineer drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
