Adult Cognitive Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Adult Cognitive Rehabilitation Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your assessment and consultation skills, network with stakeholders, families and carers, and participate in education and quality improvement activities.

The successful candidate will have an active role in intake referral process and work with a clinical team providing direct and secondary consultation to specialist services, clients, their families and support services in the community.

This position offers interesting and varied work with adults who experience significant cognitive and behavioural difficulties following acquired brain injury or neurodegenerative disease and psychiatric disorders.

You will be working as part of a state-wide service for adults with cognitive and behavioural difficulties following ABI and a mental illness. You will also have opportunities for ongoing learning and professional development within a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce.

  • Mandatory Requirements:
  • A neuropsychologist, occupational therapist, social worker or registered psychiatric nurse with an interest in working with adults who have significant cognitive and behavioural difficulties following ABI and a mental illness.

  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide direct and secondary consultation to specialist services and support services in the community.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
