Clinical Neuropsychologist Opportunity

Austin Health is a world-renowned healthcare provider, renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health, and rehabilitation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our Community Brain Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (CBDATS) on a fixed-term maternity leave position.

  • Work with clients who have significant cognitive and behavioural difficulties following an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and a mental illness.
  • Utilize your specialist assessment and consultation skills, networking with stakeholders, families, and carers.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a psychologist with specialist endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • A Master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology with a minimum of 2 years' professional experience.
  • Relevant clinical experience in the management of adult psychiatry and ABI clients.
  • Demonstrated experience with neurobehavioural interventions.
  • Ability to plan and develop specific educational material and programs.
  • Sound knowledge of the new Mental Health Act legislation.
  • Proven ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
