We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at Mackay Sugar. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for our sugar mills and rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Develop safe and efficient project designs that meet Australian and internal standards
- Negotiate work schedules with site personnel and capture SAP master data
- Develop commissioning and quality plans, and maintain an accurate project risk register
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure successful project delivery
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong background in electrical engineering and project management. You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role, with a trade certificate and associate degree in engineering, or a bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
You will have a thorough understanding of the Electrical Safety Act and associated electrical standards, as well as experience in and knowledge of the raw sugar manufacturing process. Strong computer literacy in Microsoft applications and maintenance management systems, including SAP, is also essential.
