Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and influential Senior Financial Strategist to lead the financial strategy and management for a high-profile defence program with significant national importance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the financial strategy for the establishment of new business
  • Contribute to program activities, including developing long-term financial strategy and corporate plans
  • Build strong relationships with program build partners to support ASC's financial objectives
  • Prepare and conduct financial planning analysis, manage financial transactions, and provide financial decision support
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks
  • Align activities with ASC's Strategy and assist ASC to meet any relevant contractual deliverables
  • Provide leadership to Programs finance team, ensuring team members are provided with direction and attainable yet challenging performance targets
Requirements
  • Highly experienced finance leader with over 10 years in a senior and influential role
  • Demonstrated experience in development and management of financial strategy for the establishment of new business
  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial principles, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management
  • Experience in building relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) in a large complex organisation
  • Experience in shipbuilding, defence, or a heavy industrial industry (or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience upholding high ethical standards and integrity in financial reporting and business practices
