Are you eager to start a hands-on career that safeguards lives and properties?

This is an excellent opportunity for a first-year fire sprinkler fitter apprentice. You will receive practical training in installing and maintaining fire safety systems across homes, workplaces, and commercial sites.

As a first-year fire sprinkler fitter apprentice, your tasks will include:

  • Preparing materials, tools, and work areas for tradespeople.
  • Maintaining safe, tidy job sites and ensuring clean-up is completed.
  • Assisting with the installation, alteration, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in buildings and other structures.
  • Fitting domestic and residential sprinkler systems.
  • Helping test and maintain fire hydrant and hose reel systems.
  • Learning to use grinders, thread machines, and other hand tools.
  • Supporting the design and assembly of pre-calculated fire sprinkler systems.
  • Installing and maintaining water supply and piping for fire protection systems.
  • Activating alarms and assisting with installation of special hazard systems.
  • Inspecting and testing control and indicator equipment under supervision.

To get started, you'll need:

  • A genuine interest in learning the fire protection trade.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks.
  • White Card.
  • Driver's licence (preferred).
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work in a team.
